On Mo. County Road 442 the scenery abruptly changes from open farms to a small serene church and cemetery nestled between two trees on top of a hill. Sulphur Springs Baptist Church's white walls stretch into the open country sky. Built in 1881, the one room church still offers Sunday service to about 25 members.
